Damzz is an rapper from the UK. He is criminally underrated. In 2024, he released the album Get Home Safe (deluxe) which was an extention to his 6 track EP. In this deluxe project, Damzz talks about his upbringing and his career so far. His lyrical abilities is by far above the majority of UK artists. His first single on Spotify was released in 2020, named Star Player. The style and flow on this song particularly is similar to the one of AJ Tracey and Ramz.

The soft lyrical style Damzz owns creates for himself a chill persona. The overall style can be compared, in terms of similarity, to the one of Knucks. Knucks’ 2022 album Alpha Place has a very similar tone to Damzz’s Get Home Safe (deluxe) album; the theme and lyrical storytelling are alike. These type of albums are very different from the original origin of the UK hip-hop and grime scene. With the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Skepta and JME creating the base for UK music, their style can be seen as more energetic. It’s refreshing to see how diverse the styles of UK hip-hop can be.
