Tyla Yaweh is criminally underrated. In my opinion. His versatility is due to his ability to rap and sing; the melodic vocals work perfectly in all his songs. You may know him from his most popular song with Post Malone: Tommy Lee. Or from High Right Now with Wiz Khalifa.
Albums
Despite his numerous amount of collaborations, Tyla Yaweh has only released 2 albums:
– Heart Full of Rage
Released in 2019, the first album (Heart Full of Rage) is a short one, with only 10 songs. Each track is under 4 minutes which makes it an easy listen. My favourite song from this project is They Ain’t You, closely followed by Novacane. The features for this project include French Montana and PnB Rock.
– Heart Full of Rage 2
This album, released in 2023, is by far more dynamic and experimental than the first one. There are 16 tracks included, with features from Chris Brown,Ty Dolla $ign, Yung Bleu and more. The whole project gives a ‘late night’ vibe, especially with the production choices and Tyla Yaweh’s vocals. Despite this, there is a sense of diversity when it comes to the sound of the songs. For example, Up In Flames and Will I see You Again are fast and upbeat, whereas Sea Sick and City of Dreams are slower.
